Lent is a time or preparation for the Christian believer for the death and resurrection of Christ. This period of forty days before Easter incorporates denial of self and favors giving to those less fortunate. More recently, the focus has shifted to overcoming our indulgences like chocolate or sodas. But an important aspect that often goes unnoticed is the constant preparing of ourselves. It is in this season of readiness that the Office of Campus Ministries at Gardner-Webb University cordially invites you to attend Lenten devotionals each Wednesday beginning Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2010 and continuing through Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
